Hey there...

I’m Skye, a local Adelaidian who runs Taylored Property Management successfully in Adelaide.

I’ve been in the real estate industry for over 20 years and have a lot of experience in property management.

Unlike the larger real estate agencies, at Taylored Property Management, you will deal directly with the girl boss, yes me!

My landlords are not just a number, you’re all part of my work family of landlords whom I treasure, even potential landlords like you!

Anyway, enough about me!

So you own a home, a house or have an investment property and want to know the magic number!

How much rent can I get for my house, home or investment property?

Ok, the general rule of thumb; rent should be around 1% of the property valuation. If your property is valued at $600,000, rent should be around $600 per week.

Now, I don’t agree with this general rule personally.

You might be overestimating, or worse still, underestimating the potential rental income for your property.

We must consider number of bedrooms, bathrooms and car spaces. What additional features does your home have that would appeal to tenants? Storage, heating and cooling, dishwasher, the list is endless.

The location of your property; is it close to schools, shops, bus, train, all these things are important metrics when deciding on a rental figure.

We also need to consider your standard of property, is it fully renovated or just stock standard for your local area?

Do you need to rent your property out fast?

So what is YOUR magic rental income number?
